More pictures!

Before this baby got here I was given the opportunity by a great friend to finally get some actual maternity photos taken.

I was a bit terrified--cause who wants to get their pictures taken when they feel like a whale?
But Chelly is the nicest photographer and would never imply that I looked big at all and she said she'd let me throw the girls and Mike into the pictures as well ...

she said she could make me look amazing.

I must say I was impressed!

Here are a few of my favorites!  The rest are on her site: michellevivinophotography.com
Let her know what you think!

and oh man I'm so glad that I am no longer pregnant and get to enjoy my sweet baby boy instead!!

Little dude is here!

Two very short weeks ago we welcomed our brand new baby BOY into the world!

Cale Michael Sackley
born November 16th, 2012
6 pounds 9 ounces
18 inches long

and he is perfect ...

sweet as can be

Here's the girls meeting their baby brother for the first time ever.

loving my little man.

It took a while to decide on a name so we called him 'little guy' and 'dude' the entire time at the hospital.

he is seriously so precious. Completely ogle-able.

Here's the little man leaving the hospital on my birthday.

I think bringing a brand new perfect baby home has gotta be about the best birthday present a girl could ask for.... and I got cake :)

At home the girls can not get enough of Cale either ...

And here are pictures from his first bath at home

don't let this picture fool you ...

he really reacted more like this  :)

wrinkly forehead seriously gets me EVERY TIME!
Love him.

He sleeps a lot

and loves to snuggle with his mommy!

We are in love.
Wish us luck with a 4th little person at our house!

time to get out of the house ...

so I brought the camera for a mini photo shoot.
cause otherwise we go shopping somewhere and I spend money needlessly ---such is life.

We went to this gorgeous park by the river that has lots of good photo spots, and mini trails/stairs for the girls to explore.

I am sooooo NOT a photographer ... but felt like a good mom since we actually left our house for the day to play.

Here you go!

sure love this goober!

and strike the model pose

"OK--girls look over here!"

"wait--now smile"

"I give up..."

Here's to a gorgeous Autumn!

Every 6 months ...

I loved General Conference this year!

It was fun to see my girls excited to see a living prophet. They pushed the piano bench right up to the tv and stayed there most of the first session.

We had treats, and a comfy couch to sit on, and comfy things to wear ...

but the highlights were definitely the things we learned and the Spirit that I felt.

Here were a few of my favorite quotes:

"We shouldn’t wait to be happy until we reach some future point, only to discover that happiness was already available—all the time! Life is not meant to be appreciated only in retrospect. “This is the day which the Lord hath made … ,” the Psalmist wrote. “Rejoice and be glad in it.”"
--Dieter F. Uchtdorf

"This is the exchange the Savior is asking of us: we are to give up all our sins, big or small, for the Father’s reward of eternal life. We are to forget self-justifying stories, excuses, rationalizations, defense mechanisms, procrastinations, appearances, personal pride, judgmental thoughts, and doing things our way. We are to separate ourselves from all worldliness and take upon us the image of God in our countenances."
-- Robert C. Gay

"By definition, trials will be trying. There may be anguish, confusion, sleepless nights, and pillows wet with tears. But our trials need not be spiritually fatal. They need not take us from our covenants or from the household of God."
--Neil L. Andersen

“First observe, then serve.”
--Linda K. Burton

"To which Jesus responded (and here again I acknowledge my nonscriptural elaboration), perhaps saying something like: “Then Peter, why are you here? Why are we back on this same shore, by these same nets, having this same conversation? Wasn’t it obvious then and isn’t it obvious now that if I want fish, I can get fish? What I need, Peter, are disciples—and I need them forever. I need someone to feed my sheep and save my lambs. I need someone to preach my gospel and defend my faith. I need someone who loves me, truly, truly loves me, and loves what our Father in Heaven has commissioned me to do. Ours is not a feeble message. It is not a fleeting task. It is not hapless; it is not hopeless; it is not to be consigned to the ash heap of history. It is the work of Almighty God, and it is to change the world. So, Peter, for the second and presumably the last time, I am asking you to leave all this and to go teach and testify, labor and serve loyally until the day in which they will do to you exactly what they did to me.”
--Jeffrey R. Holland
"Again, my brothers and sisters, our Heavenly Father is aware of our needs and will help us as we call upon Him for assistance. I believe that no concern of ours is too small or insignificant. The Lord is in the details of our lives."
--President Thomas S. Monson
