But I feel like it a tiny bit.
A little bit like an amazing person.
Soooo here's what went down...
About 3 weeks ago I was chatting with friends when one mentioned that a local theater group was putting on the musical Les Miserables in our town in a few months.
I Love love love the music in Les Mis......
Maybe a little obsessive even...
since back in high school.
So my friend was talking about how try-outs were the next day,
and I said "I kinda want to do it!" And then she (being a super motivated person) made it happen.
We printed off some music from the Internet, sat down to the piano and started practicing. We even dragged another friend into the fray! Then the next day again, we sang and sang and sang and sang some more. Did you know it's a completely friend bonding experience to lock yourselves in the bathroom together and belt out Les Miserables music together? True story.
Then came the try-outs:
I was so nervous I contemplated walking right back out the door. But -- whew! I gave my music to the pianist, smiled for a picture then sang.
At least I'm pretty sure I did.
I kinda blacked out a little 'cause I don't remember much of the minute I was up there. It only was 16 bars of the song altogether. Seriously though, it's was like "did I get the words right?" and "did I even sing the right song?" I was just overly aware of the fact that I was shaking. A LOT! My gal pals did
amazing in their auditions.
Then it was over and I was just proud of the fact that I even did it. I'm just a stay-at-home mom that sings well enough to be in the ward choir and not much else.
But....THEY LET ME BE IN THE CHORUS!
Actually, everybody who tried out gets to be in the chorus so it's not like I stood out at all or anything. But I am soooooo excited!
It's like I'm famous or something.... Well, still not really, but whatever.
And the songs were stuck in my head for a couple of weeks. Mike was getting pretty sick of me breaking out in song all the time....
So we've moved on to some different music.
Now it's pretty much Frozen 24/7 around here. From all us girls. And Cale loves to dance to it too!
(I thought this was hilarious!)

I'm on the bandwagon now!
Anyway! Rehearsals start next week, wish me luck!
