car trouble. . .

So, our 'good' car broke down for the 3rd time since November and I'm getting a bit tired of it.

CHEVROLET
Cheap, Hardly Efficient, Virtually Runs On Luck Every Time

You might have a beat car if you try to put it in a junkyard and the owners tell you, "We're not taking that piece of crap!"

I don't recommend anyone buy a Chevy Malibu. Just my opinion.

Valentines Day. . .

Valentines day must be getting to me.
I realize I most often write about my adorable daughters but I just hope everyone knows how much I love my adorable husband too.
I know I might complain about him once in a while (what wife doesn't), but I love him all the same and feel very privileged and lucky to call him my husband and the father of my sweet girls!
Seriously, look at these adorable pictures!

Love you Mike!

Completely random

Nothing is new here to tell about so I was randomly looking around on the computer and found something that I thought was funny.
It's a video of my husband and his brother (I think it was over Christmas break). They must have been bored.

Sorry, that's all the excitement you get from me this week.

Quiz

It's pretty obvious but I thought I'd make it fun and put a quiz on here for everyone.
I think it's funny that I seem to be the only one to see a resemblance between my two daughters, so I went through a bunch of our pictures and pulled out similar pictures of the both of them. I figured I'd put them up against each other so you could guess which is which. It'll be really easy but maybe you can see where I'm coming from when I say they look the same.

Good Luck!

A  vs  B

C  vs  D

E  vs   F

G  vs  H

I  vs  J

K  vs  L

M  vs  N

O  vs  P

They may be different but I think they're both perfect! Hope you enjoyed it!

Holiday excitement. . .

So, it's a little late but our Christmas was tons of fun.
Our plan was to have our first Christmas at our house just as a little family and then to drive out after opening presents and meeting up with Mike's parents in Park City, Utah. But if anyone heard, there was a huge storm warning predicted for Christmas morning. So Christmas Eve, despite not being ready to leave, we had a rushed family Christmas before jumping in the car for a drive down to Utah.

The drive was great and we got there in time to be snowed into the condo we were staying at. Christmas day was a blast and the girls had a fun time opening their presents and playing with wrapping paper.

The best part was after we got home Monday evening from our holiday. I went downstairs to check on a gift I had been making for Danna when I noticed our basement was flooded!!! A sprinkler line outside had broken and the water leaked into our downstairs window well and came right into the basement.
Bummer!
We are definitely new home owners cause we were at a loss for what to do or who to call. Eventually we had some cleaning people come and they were at our house for the next 3 or 4 hours hosing out the water in our basement and getting rid of our soaking wet boxes. (Thank goodness for insurance!)
Luckily, we were pretty blessed in that our damage losses were minimal. Since our basement is unfinished we didn't have carpet or drywall problems and most of our valuable paper stuffs were up on tables or on a bookshelf which kept them dry. A silent moment to my brother-in-law who is storing his stuff in our basement while he interns in Florida. His was the worst of the damage, though I think only a box of textbooks was ruined.
Anyway, I'm posting a few pictures of our basement after it is mostly dry just so we can all remember the excitement that took place :)

In this picture I'm holding my hand up to how high the well was full of water when we arrived home; it was just shooting in through this window.

Anyway, hope everyone's holidays were fabulous and maybe a little less 'exciting' than ours.
