My baby is 1!

Carina turned 1 this Saturday. Despite her not having any idea that it was even her birthday we still tried to make it a special day. We went out for a family bike ride (with the bike trailor) followed by playing at the park and swinging for what felt like hours to me and Mike. Then we set up our tiny blow up wading pool in the backyard. Later in the afternoon we had cupcakes and opened presents. We probably sang "Happy Birthday" 15 times to her that day as well.

Happy Birthday sweetie! What an angel!
Here's the birthday girl in her new tutu with all her presents and her cake!
(can you tell which one she wants?)

singing Happy Birthday AGAIN! :)

Carina enjoying her cake. . . well really it was only the frosting.

Look at my darling children. Love these guys!

Back in town

We're finally back in town and settled enough for me to write another blog. We spent all of last week in Tri-Cities, Washington to help out with my sister's wedding. Amber was married on Saturday and everything turned our wonderfully. The girls did great traveling and we had a blast hanging out with family and playing with the dog. Now she's in Hawaii on her honeymoon and I'm back in good ol' Idaho. We returned to find our garbage can sideways in our lawn and to see that dandelions have almost overtaken the grass. Welcome back to life I guess.
Sadly, I don't have many pictures (from my camera at least) to capture the sweet moments of last week so you'll have to settle with these for now.

These pictures are some that I took for Amber's bridal photos.

My dad and brothers put in hardwood flooring into the entry, kitchen and dining room of our house before the wedding. Here we are watching (and staying out of the way).

Here are the girls in the car on the way home. I'm so lucky to have girls who like to travel. Other than a poopy diaper stop and one to get gas the girls traveled the entire way (8 1/2 hrs) without fussing.
