As you may or may not already know,
I'm not the best mom on the planet.
I really do not put my kids into any extracurricular activities,
whether they've wanted me to or not.
But…
I do force them to take swimming lessons every single summer.
Because I kinda like the smell of chlorine.
And it reminds me of my childhood...
And of teaching/coaching swimming…
good times.
And it makes me happy to watch them learning something I deem important.
Luckily they enjoy them for the most part.
